About the role
As a Retail Sales Associate, you're the face of Happy Day Pets in stores, at events, and wherever dog lovers gather. You'll introduce shoppers to our premium, single-ingredient, made-in-the-USA treats and turn curious passersby into loyal customers. If you love dogs, people, and a good sample table, this one's for you.
What you'll do
- Represent Happy Day Pets at retail locations, demos, and local events.
- Engage shoppers warmly and tell our "read the label" brand story.
- Run product samplings and answer questions about ingredients and benefits.
- Build relationships with store staff and managers to grow shelf presence.
- Keep displays stocked, clean, and on-brand.
- Track sales, feedback, and inventory at each location.
- Hit and exceed sales goals for your territory.
What we're looking for
- 1+ years in retail, sales, or customer-facing roles.
- Outgoing, friendly, and genuinely comfortable starting conversations.
- A real love of dogs and enthusiasm for our products.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for weekends/events.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Strong communication and basic record-keeping skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in pet, food, or CPG retail.
- Comfort with event and demo selling.
- Existing relationships with local retailers.
Compensation: Depending on experience.
