About the role

As Key Account Manager, you'll own and grow Happy Day Pets' most important retail partnerships — think Walmart, Chewy, and PetSmart. You'll be the relationship lead, the planner, and the negotiator who turns shelf space into sustainable growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who knows how big retail and marketplace accounts really work.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day relationships with key retail and marketplace accounts.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-through at Walmart, Chewy, PetSmart, and others.
  • Manage joint business plans, promotions, and forecasts.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and assortment with buyers.
  • Coordinate with operations on inventory, EDI, and compliance.
  • Analyze account performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present line reviews and proposals.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years managing national retail or marketplace accounts.
  • Direct experience with Walmart, Chewy, PetSmart, or similar.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort with forecasting, promo planning, and account P&L.
  • Analytical, organized, and results-driven.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in pet, food, or CPG.
  • Familiarity with Retail Link, Chewy vendor portals, and EDI.
  • Experience scaling a challenger brand into major retail.

Compensation: Depending on experience.
